I'm sure it told me somewhere in the preamble and the signup, but I missed it.
I got here from a Bluesky user's post about Eurosky, via Eurosky, to here. And I don't really know where here is, but it sounded like somewhere that wasn't an American-owned corporation whose CEO is being quoted as saying that he's not happy about Bluesky being a 'liberal bubble' and he wants a wider userbase there.
Question is, though: what does he mean by 'liberal'?
'Cos if you ask a full-on leftist they'll give you a very different definition of 'liberal' than your average Joe Street will offer. Is New CEO basically saying he wants more than just leftists on Bluesky, in which case I'd say he's already got that; or is he saying he wants people other than those who believe generally in liberal democratic values? In which case, how's that worked out for Twitter? (Hint: Twitter, or rather, what was done to Twitter, is the reason Bluesky exists and has a userbase.)
Anyway, I find myself here, wherever here is.
Hi, I'm Feòrag. I live in Britain and I'm just coasting into my fifties. I'm angry at a lot of stuff all the time but I also remember—if vaguely—what it was like when I didn't feel like I had to be. And I seem to recall—if vaguely—quite enjoying that state of mind and I'd very much like to find a space to try to rediscover it.
I don't know how often I'll write here or even what I'm supposed to do here, but let's see.
